Elephant Rope

Image
Elephants are powerful animals, able to lift logs with their trunks and knock trees over using their heads. You might think it strange then to find that elephants are usually kept tethered by their handlers with a length of rope or small chain that they could easily break. This IS because they have been conditioned. This is accomplished by trainers through the use of a heavy metal chain to tether the elephants while they are still young. The elephants learn during their development that they cannot break the bonds and they associate them with their limits, boundaries and freedoms. Later, when they are fully grown and are of adult size and strength, they still believe they cannot break that bond and so, they never really try. From then on, only a rope is necessary to keep them from breaking their bonds, freeing themselves and realizing their true strength. You do realize I am not really talking about elephants at all don't you? Moral of the story:   No matter how

The 7 Natural Laws of the Universe.

Image
The Law of Attraction is just part of one of the 7 natural laws of the Universe: the Law of Vibration. Of the 7 Laws, it may be the most important in how our everyday lives play out, but all of the laws are in effect whether we are aware of them or not. Knowing what the 7 laws are and how they work can make a significant difference in applying them to create the life you truly desire. The 7 natural laws are in no particular order, but since the Law of Attraction has been discussed so much in The Secret, we’ll start with it: The Law of Vibration states that everything vibrates and nothing rests. Vibrations of the same frequency resonate with each other, so like attracts like energy. Everything is energy, including your thoughts. Consistently focusing on a particular thought or idea attracts its vibration match. How to apply it: Focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want. The Law of Relativity states that nothing is what it is until you relate it to something.

A teacher teaching Math to a six-year-old asked him, "If I give you one apple and one apple & one apple, how many apples will you have?" With a few seconds, the boy replied confidently, "Four!" The dismayed teacher was expecting an effortless correct answer (three). She was disappointed. "Maybe the child did not listen properly," she thought. She repeated, "please listen carefully. It is very simple. You will be able to do it right if you listen carefully. If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?" The boy had seen the disappointment on his teacher's face. He calculated again on his fingers. But within him, he was also searching for the answer that will make his teacher happy. This time hesitatingly he replied, "Four." The disappointment stayed on the teacher's face. She remembered that the boy loves strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn't like appl

Each gives what he has!

Loved this: Back in the days when Germany was divided, a huge wall separated East and West Berlin. One day, some people in East Berlin took a truck load of garbage and dumped it on the West Berlin side. The people of West Berlin could have done the same thing, but they didn't. Instead they took a truck load of canned goods, bread, milk and other provisions, and neatly stacked it on the East Berlin side. On top of this stack they placed the sign:  “EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS" How very true! You can only give what you have. What do you have inside of you? Is it hate or love? Violence or peace? Death or life? capacity to build or capacity to destroy? What have you acquired over the years? " EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS " Think about it!

Beautiful 10 lines

✒SOMEONE HAS WRITTEN THESE 10 BEAUTIFUL LINES. READ and TRY  to UNDERSTAND the DEEPER MEANING of THEM. 1). PRAYER is not a "spare wheel" that YOU PULL OUT when IN trouble, but it is a "STEERING WHEEL" that DIRECT the RIGHT PATH THROUGHOUT LIFE. 2). Why is a CAR'S WINDSHIELD so LARGE & the REAR VIEW MIRROR so small? BECAUSE our PAST is NOT as IMPORTANT as OUR FUTURE. So, LOOK AHEAD and MOVE ON. 3). FRIENDSHIP is like a BOOK. It takes a FEW SECONDS to BURN, but it TAKES YEARS to WRITE. 4). All THINGS in LIFE are TEMPORARY. If they are GOING WELL, ENJOY them, they WILL NOT LAST FOREVER. If they are going wrong, don't WORRY, THEY CAN'T LAST LONG EITHER. 5). Old FRIENDS are GOLD! NEW friends are DIAMONDS! If you GET a DIAMOND, DON'T FORGET the GOLD! To HOLD a DIAMOND, you ALWAYS NEED a BASE of GOLD! 6). Often when WE LOSE HOPE and THINK this is the END, GOD SMILES from ABOVE and SAYS, "RELAX, SWEETHEART; it's JUST a BEND, NOT THE

7 leadership principles to learn from an Eagle

Image
1. Eagles fly Alone and at High Altitudes. They don't fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds. MEANING ; Stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with Eagles. Keep good company. 2. Eagles have an Accurate Vision . They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it. MEANING ; Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed. 3. Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey. MEANING ; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past. 4. Eagles Love the Storm. When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide

A father left 17 ducks as asset for his Three Sons. When the Father passed away, his sons opened up the will. The Will of the Father stated that the Eldest son should get Half of 17 ducks, The Middle Son should be given 1/3rd of 17 ducks, Youngest Son should be given 1/9th of the 17 ducks. As it is not possible to divide 17 into half or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, the sons started to fight with each other. So, they decided to go to a wise man who lives in a cave. The wise man listened patiently about the Will. The wise man, after giving this thought, brought one duck of his own & added the same to 17. That increased the total to 18 ducks. Now, he started reading the deceased father’s will. Half of 18 = 9. So he gave 9 ducks to the eldest son. 1/3rd of 18 = 6. So he gave 6 ducks to the middle son. 1/9th of 18 = 2. So he gave 2 ducks to the youngest son. Now add this up : 9 + 6 + 2 = 17 & This leaves 1 duck which the wise man took back. MORAL : The

Time Will Come !

New York is 3 hrs ahead of California but it does not mean that California is slow, or that New York is fast. Both are  working based on their own "Time Zone." Someone is still single. Someone got married and 'waited' 10 yrs before having a child, there is another who had a baby within a year of marriage. Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately! Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years. Everyone works based on their 'Time Zone', People can have things worked out only according to their pace. Work in your “time zone”. Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you. Maybe some might "seem" behind you. Don't envy them or mock them, it's their 'Time Zone.' You are in yours! Hold on, be strong, and stay true to you

You are a very powerful source of energy

A 6 yr old boy was in the market with his 4 yr old sister. Suddenly the boy found that his sister was lagging behind. He stopped and looked back. His sister was standing in front of a toy shop and was watching something with great interest. The boy went back to her and asked, “Do you want something?” The sister pointed at the doll. The boy held her hand and like a responsible elder brother, gave that doll to her. The sister was very very happy… The shopkeeper was watching everything and getting amused to see the matured behavior of the boy… Now the boy came to the counter and asked the shopkeeper, “What is the cost of this doll, Sir? !” The shopkeeper was a cool man and had experienced the odds of life. So he asked the boy with a lot of love & affection, “Well, What can you pay?” The boy took out all the shells that he had collected from sea shore, from his pocket and gave them to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper took the shells and started counting as if he were counting

How a Password Changed my Life ...

Image
A true story from the Reader’s Digest .. . I was having a great morning until I sat down in front of my office computer. “your password has expired”, a server message flashed on my screen, with instructions for changing it...In my company we have to change password monthly.. I was deeply depressed after my recent divorce. Disbelief over what she had done to me was what I thought all day. I remembered a tip I’d heard from my former boss. He’d said, “I’m going to use a password that is going to change my life”. I couldn’t focus on getting things done in my current mood.. My password reminded me that I shouldn’t let myself be a victim of my recent breakup and that I was strong enough to do something about it. I made my password – Forgive@her . I had to type this password several times every day, each time my computer would lock. Each time I came back from lunch I wrote forgive her. The simple action changed the way I looked at my ex-wife.. That constant reminder of reconciliation
